FELLING OPERATIONS OF PINUS HALAPENSIS
Se trata de un ejemplar de Pinus Halapensis con bifurcación en tronco desde nacimiento. No se produjo en su momento el «deshermanamiento“ con un clareo o clara a tiempo.

La gran apertura en «V» en el pie del árbol, el alto peso de la copa y la excesiva inclinación de los troncos ha desencadenado en que se haya producido una rotura de una de las ramas sobre infraestructura del Cementerio.
The large „V“ opening at the base of the tree, the heavy weight of the canopy and the excessive inclination of the trunks have led to a break in one of the branches on the infrastructure of the Cemetery.
Los trabajos han consistido en el descopado mediante apeo de las ramas de la misma utilizando motosierra de pértiga, realizando cortes con la misma desde la parte más distal hacia el tronco y posterior troceado del fuste con motosierra forestal.
The work involved crown reduction by felling the branches using a pole chainsaw, making cuts from the furthest end towards the trunk, and subsequently cutting the stem into pieces using a forestry chainsaw
La otra bifurcación del tronco, que sigue aún en pie, se ha podado para quitarle peso a la copa y equilibrarla ya que mantenía la zona más densa de vegetación y, por tanto, la de mayor peso, en la misma dirección hacia donde el árbol está inclinado.
The other trunk bifurcation, which is still intact, has been reduce weight from the canopy and balance it since it held the densest area of vegetation and, therefore, the heaviest weight, in the same direction where the tree is inclined.
Los restos con menor diámetro se triturarán y se compostarán. La madera de mayor diámetro servirá para leña en festividades en barrios rurales (Hogueras de San Antón, Hogueras de San Juan…).
The smaller diameter remains will be shredded and composted. The larger diameter wood will be used as firewood in festivities in rural neighborhoods (Hogueras de San Antón, Hogueras de San Juan…).
